dead bunny

Some people write about their bunnies who have just died. I don't get this. I don't get this at all. Why would anyone write about a bunny? It's not like they're cats. Can bunnies catch mice and eat them? Do bunnies go out every night and bring back a vole every morning for 10 days straight as a gift for their person? Do bunnies dance in the moonlight with their prey before they kill them?
I don't think so.
